What I looked for was a school that had an actual campus. Chances are those schools are going to be accredited. Upper Iowa is a big school in Iowa and has campuses throughout the state and in other midwestern states. Also ask if they are regionally or nationally accredited - I was told that while both are preferable, the regional accreditation is most important. However, you can probably find both.
