I want to be a math teacher and i have been looking at colleges. I always thought i would major in secondary education but i just saw math education as a major. so which would be a better choice and why?

I’m currently Researching Post Secondary Adult Correctional Education. I am very interested in finding out if it really makes a difference for a felon once he/she reenters society and tries to find a professional position matching their degree or is one scutinized for having been a convicted felon?
