I want a 4 year degree in Psychology. I am worried about doing online courses because I would hate to not get a job because the employer picked an in classroom degree person.
Does anyone have any statistics or info to back this up? Is it true that online degrees are not looked at as highly as a in classroom?

If you are self motivated and like your privacy,l then online is for you. If you are an introvert, then online is for you. It takes a lot of discipline to take an online class, but there are many rewards if you do.
There are tons of online programs. I personally attended American Intercontinental Univ. and Capella University, and have taught for various online schools including the University of Phoenix. All are accredited and solid programs. Online courses tend to vary in price, so we could say they are more expensive, but that is relative. Of course they are more expensive than a community college, but less expensive than Harvard. The price range varies.
The key is to find a program that is fully accredited. Is it worth it? YES. My career has boomed since my MBA at nearly 5 years ago. I am close to finishing my PhD through distance education, and I am at the job that I want. I know I wouldn’t be here without the education. If you are looking at work in the U.S., then you need a school that is accredited and recognized by the Dept of Ed. I can give more info on that later.
You should market yourself and not the degree or university. There are many traditional universities offering degrees that can be earned through online methods. Distance Learning Alliance has a list of these traditional online schools. Look at that if you are truly concerned with the name of the school. Good luck on your search!

I have not heard of any difference. Online college to me seems like a lot more work. Because its easy to fall behind when you can’t immediately ask a question a particular moment or when you don’t get something. Some class its okay others, i’d rather got to the classroom
